Case Study: Xanadu Living — The Real Journey of Building an Ecommerce Brand

Why Tyack Ecommerce Solutions Created Xanadu Living

At Tyack Ecommerce Solutions, we believe the best way to help entrepreneurs succeed online is to experience the journey ourselves.
We wanted to show new business owners the real-world realities of running an ecommerce store — not just theory, but the practical day-to-day challenges, data-driven decisions, and long-term wins that define sustainable growth as a side hustle.

That’s why we launched Xanadu Living, a homewares and lifestyle store built from the ground up as a live example of what’s possible. Every month, we tracked progress, refined strategies, and used the store as a testing ground for the same tactics we teach our clients.

“We wanted to show our clients the real journey — not just the glossy version you see on social media,” explains Mathew Tyack, Founder of Tyack Ecommerce Solutions.
“This project proves that results come from data, patience, and smart execution — not luck.”

2025: A Year of Building and Learning

The 2025 financial year represented the foundation for Xanadu Living’s growth — from initial setup and product testing to finding profitable consistency. Rather than chasing quick wins, we focused on building the systems that would support long-term success.

Quarter 1: Building the Base (January – March)

The first few months focused on establishing a solid digital foundation.
We launched the store, built out product collections, and began laying down SEO and content frameworks to attract organic traffic.

Results:

  • 27 orders

  • $1,963 total sales

  • 1% conversion rate

  • Average order value: $72

Q1 was never about big numbers — it was about clarity. These early months gave us the insight to understand buyer behaviour and set realistic goals for the months ahead.

“You can’t optimise what you don’t understand,” says Tyack Ecommerce Solutions.
“Quarter one was where we built the knowledge base that every strong business needs.”

Quarter 2: Finding the Formula (April – June)

By April, growth was starting to accelerate. SEO pages began ranking, social channels gained traction, and the data told us exactly which products resonated with customers.

We made one critical decision that changed everything — removing all products under $40. This immediately boosted margins, improved the average order value, and made our ads more profitable.

Results:

  • 154 orders

  • $11,531 total sales

  • 70% month-on-month growth

  • Average order value: $74

“This was when data met direction,” says Mathew.
“Once we stopped guessing and focused on the data, everything started to flow.”

Quarter 3: Systems, Stability & SEO (July – September)

By mid-year, Xanadu Living was finding its rhythm. While July and August were slower months due to an extended European holiday, September became a breakthrough period thanks to SEO maturity and improved Google Ads optimisation.

We focused on systems and retention — improving email automations, optimising page load speeds, and setting up retargeting campaigns.

Results:

  • 152 orders

  • $12,528 total sales

  • AOV: $82

  • +56% increase in organic traffic

This quarter proved that sustainable ecommerce growth comes from structure, not luck.

“Quiet months aren’t setbacks — they’re opportunities to sharpen the engine,” says Matty.
“We used this period to strengthen the systems that would power the next wave of growth.”

October 2025: The Turning Point

October marked a major shift.
A focused $750 Google Ads investment generated record results — 54 orders and $10,181 in total sales — making it the strongest month to date.

With product focus, faster site speed, and refined targeting, Xanadu Living achieved consistent profitability.
It was the first time all key elements — SEO, paid ads, and conversion optimisation — worked together seamlessly.

“October was our moment of proof,” says Mathew.
“Everything we’d been building suddenly clicked into place.”

November & December 2025: Forecasting Consistency

The final months of the year are projected to sustain this strong growth trajectory.
With expanded ad budgets, new seasonal products, and higher organic traffic, Xanadu Living is forecast to reach $12,000–$15,000 per month in sales — maintaining a healthy profit margin and repeat purchase rate.

Rather than chasing short-term spikes, the focus is on consistent performance — building trust, brand awareness, and scalable marketing foundations heading into 2026.

2026: The Year of Scaling Intelligently

With a proven foundation, 2026 is all about scale — not just in revenue, but in brand strength and automation.
Tyack Ecommerce Solutions plans to grow Xanadu Living by 15–20% month-on-month, targeting $390,000+ in annual revenue through steady, structured growth.

With an invested long term SEO strategy which started mid 2025, optimised ads, and on site improved user experience, we are set to send Xanadu Living into the stratosphere.

Quarter 1: Momentum & Marketing

Expanding paid campaigns across Google, Meta, and Pinterest while improving SEO authority.
Projected Revenue: $41,000
Average Growth: +17% MoM

Quarter 2: Content & Retention

Building customer loyalty through improved Klaviyo email flows and SEO blog content.
Projected Revenue: $71,500
Average Growth: +16% MoM

Quarter 3: Campaigns & Collaboration

Influencer partnerships and EOFY campaigns drive engagement and reach.
Projected Revenue: $115,000
Average Growth: +15% MoM

Quarter 4: Scaling Stage

Key Lessons for Entrepreneurs

  1. Slow starts build strong foundations. The first few months are for learning, not for quick wins.

  2. Simplify to scale. Removing low-margin items improved profitability instantly.

  3. SEO and ads work better together. SEO builds trust, ads drive reach.

  4. Consistency compounds. Growth is not luck — it’s the result of systems and patience.

  5. Test it on yourself first. Xanadu Living is living proof of Tyack Ecommerce Solutions’ own strategies in action.

“We built Xanadu Living to show what’s possible when ecommerce is done with purpose,” says Mathew.
“Every lesson we learned is now part of how we help our clients succeed.”
